Stylists Profile: Katie Fellowes
Katie has been part of THE CHAPEL Islington since it began. She has an amount of experience and a thirst for knowledge and development. As an absolute perfectionist, it’s no surprise that her guests book her months in advance. She has been part of THE CHAPEL Creative where she has worked on shoots, both internal and external. She was a finalist at Redkens Colour Expert in 2011 and, perhaps more importantly, she cuts and colours my hair.
What attracted you to THE CHAPEL?
Well, was working with Billie and Georgia at the time THE CHAPEL Islington concept came about. As a young stylist, I was very intrigued with it and wanted to be a part of it. The complete package I can offer my guests is what keeps me here. Working uniquely with them alongside a team of like minded people gives me great control over what we do.
What is your favourite thing about being a hairdresser?
Helping people push the boundaries with their image. With the right relationship, people learn to really trust you and put their faith in you. I love that my guests get braver with me.
How would your guests describe you?
I think inspiring , professional , always happy to see them (which I am!) and bit of a geek sometimes.
Who is your hero?
If you weren’t a hairdresser, what would you be?
I’d be the first female world champion formula 1 driver!!!
What do you think will be the biggest hair trend in 2012?
Short fringes!!!It’s such a strong sharp look. Less of this long, floaty wispy look- stop hiding behind it! Let you’re gorgeous peepers shine through! I think people will appreciate a trend like this- so strong, but if you don’t like it,it will grow out in a matter of weeks.
