This year we’ve been blessed with a long, hot summer, and it’s by no means over yet! What better way to see the summer out in style than by planning a few nights out in London to soak up those last rays of sunshine? Our London team are not shy when it comes to a night on the town, so we asked them about their favourite spots in the city.

Dancing on the ceiling at the Prince of Wales Brixton

Whatever the weather, Brixton is always buzzing with nightlife. However, when it comes to the summer, our stylists swear that there is only one place to go — POW (Prince Of Wales). Its two-tier rooftop bar has played host to a whole catalogue of parties, from reggaeton and hip-hop, to house, techno and RnB. You name it, they’ve got an event for it. The venue also boasts a large multi-floored pub and club, so your night is covered even if the heavens do open up! So, if you’re looking for somewhere to throw some shapes, this is the place to go.

Rock the boat at Tamesis Dock

Moored between Lambeth and Vauxhall bridge is the magnificent Tamesis Dock. While the converted Dutch barge may look like a ship stranded on the Thames, it is actually a bar and restaurant. With the deck kitted out with plenty of outdoor seating, it is the perfect place to chill with loved ones or for a night of summer romance. The Chapel stylists’ favourite way to spend their evening there? Arrive just before sunset to grab your tipple of choice and enjoy the view as the sun goes down.

Buzzing beach bar: Bunga Bunga Battersea

A post shared by Bunga Bunga (@bungabungaldn) on

You might have heard of Bunga Bunga in Covent Garden – famed for its outlandish dinner shows. Our Chapel stylists like to think of the Battersea branch a glamorous older sister. The top floor of the nightclub is now home to the Martini Prosecco Bar and is the perfect beach-themed spot to spend a summer’s evening. Offering five different varieties of prosecco, it’s a great place to not only quaff on some fizz, but also to learn a thing or two. And once you’re finished with your fizz, you can jump into their changing room photo booth and take a snap to commemorate the night!

Food and films alfresco at Pitch

Out next pick is for the film and food lovers out there. Recently opened, Pitch in Stratford is an East London hub which brings together food, film and craft beer in an open-air setting. With Ibiza-style DJs throughout the day, by the evening it’s a bustling place to party or chill and watch a movie. We’d recommend going for a bite in the early evening to claim your spot and staying to enjoy the vibes for the rest of your night.

Set sail at sunset on London Shell Co

One of our favourite ways to spend an evening is over a long and lavish dinner. Whilst London is full of incredible places to indulge, the atmosphere at London Shell Co is unparalleled. If you enjoy a spot of seafood, we’d highly recommend one of their dinner cruises. Setting off Paddington, you’ll be taken on a serene sail up the canal. And the food is sublime; four courses of from a daily-changing menu of fresh fish, lovingly prepared in the tiny galley kitchen. With the sun beaming down as you cruise up the canal, what better way to celebrate summer in the city?

‘The world’s ultimate pub’: Pub Tropicana, Studio 338

Branding itself as ‘the world’s ultimate pub’, Studio 338’s Pub Tropicana is not to be missed. Famed for their killer dance lineups, this summer the iconic London club has added a whole host of events to our calendars. With live DJs, comedy, cult pub quizzes, underground bingo and neon table tennis, it’s practically a summer camp for adults! So before the seasons’ out, be sure to gather up a group of your best mates and get down there for a wild night out.

Ibiza in your backyard at Fulham Beach Club

Fulham has become all the more glorious with the addition of its very own beach club. ‘Neverland’ brings the white sands of Ibiza to our buzzing capital, hosting a range of events over the summer. During the day you can lounge on daybeds or practice yoga on the beach. But our stylists guarantee that when the sun goes down, Neverland really lights up. Sample delicious BBQ food, play some outdoor games, or relax with friends under your very own beach hut. Once the drinks start to flow, you can head over to the dancefloor and party the night away cabana-style!

Sublime summer cocktails: Jin Bo Law

The final pick is our favourite cocktail spot, which is conveniently close to our Islington Salon. Jin Bo Law is situated on the 14th floor of the Dorset Hotel in Aldgate; the prime location for stunning sunset views of the city. Its adventurous Asian-inspired menu combines exotic flavours with deceptively strong spirits to make sublime summer tipples. We’d recommend booking in advance to secure your spot for a fabulous evening out. Trust us, it’s worth the effort!

With so many options, you’ll have no excuse but to end the summer in style. If you’d like more top tips like this from our stylists, check out the London guide on our blog.
